When determining how much raw dog food to order, you'll need to consider several factors to ensure you meet your dog's nutritional needs in a way that is most convenient for you.
1. Calculate Daily Food Requirement:
The recommended feeding range is 2% to 4% of your dog's body weight.
For simplicity, we will use an average of 3% of your dog's body weight.
2. Decide Order Frequency:
If you opt for a monthly subscription, multiply the daily amount by 30 to get your monthly requirement.
For a weekly plan, multiply the daily amount by 7.
3. Consider Packaging Options:
Our raw dog food is currently available in 2 packaging sizes, 24-pound or 16-pound boxes, both packaged as 2lb sleeves for easy feeding.
The larger box might be more economical and require fewer deliveries, but ensure you have sufficient freezer space to store it.
If freezer space is limited, the smaller box with more frequent deliveries may be more manageable.
4. Balancing Needs and Practical Considerations:
Match the order quantity with your storage capacity and consumption rate to balance your dog's needs with practical considerations like storage space and order frequency. This should be a fun an exciting journey for both you and your dog, a diet specifically designed for them, the way nature intended, to ensure health and longevity for your dog.
Please note: Chart is based off of 3% of the dogs body weight, some dogs may require less, and some may require more based on individual needs such as activity level and age, it is ok to be slightly under or over the daily food requirements.
