Walter is currently the only available dog in our Executive Protection Dog Program at our Dallas, Texas facility. He currently weighs in at 78 pounds and has a beautiful plush sable coat. He’s a remarkable dog with a personality that can be summarized as loyal, kind, and gentle (of course this is in everyday life, when its time for protection, gentle would not be the word to describe him, more on this later). While he is friendly with everyone, he tends to form a strong bond with one person, making him the perfect companion. At home, he loves to lounge on his bed or rest at your feet, showing his calm and laid-back nature. These characteristics would make him perfect for an individual or family with a laid back personality, who is more soft spoken.
Raised in a household with four other German Shepherds and children aged 12 and 18, Walter is very familiar with day to day family life and gets along with animals of all sizes. His early socialization makes him a great fit for families with children and other pets. From 16 weeks old, he began weekly training sessions at our trainer’s house in the European countryside, where he began his foundation in obedience and protection. His previous owner frequently took him into the city to visit friends, family, and other dogs, further exposing him to the world. This upbringing has shaped Walter into a dog who is polite and respectful in public settings, easily adapting to various environments.
Walter’s versatility means he would thrive in different lifestyles, whether accompanying you to work or staying at home. He genuinely enjoys being part of the group and will seamlessly integrate into family life. However, when it comes to protection, Walter is a different dog. When instructed to do so, he displays immense confidence, consistently pushing his limits and delivering a powerful, deep bite. His bark is equally as strong—deep and relentless. This balance of gentleness and fierce protection makes Walter an exceptional companion and guardian. He truly has the potential to be someone's dog of a lifetime.
When we train and spend time with our dogs, we picture them in their ideal family setting. This process allows us to understand each dog's unique personality, temperament, and needs. Conversely, we also recognize that not every dog will fit seamlessly into every household. Our goal is to ensure each dog finds the right environment where they can flourish, offering both companionship and protection.
